Science and Technology Community of Rome, NY to Host High Tech Small Business Symposium & Women in Business Roundtable

Small businesses are a vital resource in supporting national interests and for enhancing America’s industrial base. This Small Business Symposium will feature keynote speakers, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Commander and New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Hochul, discussing Federal and State small business initiatives.

The event will feature an information session on AFMC & AFRL Small Business Programs, technology transfer, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and processes for growing small businesses. Agencies that support small businesses will be on hand for counseling and advising. Successful small businesses will be highlighted at display booths and available for discussions.

A Women in Leadership Roundtable discussion will be held, where General Pawlikowski and Lieutenant Governor Hochul will be joined by local women business, community and government leaders to share their experiences in overcoming varying obstacles on their path to success.  In addition, the panel will discuss the issues, good and bad, that impact small business growth.
