Mohawk Valley Community College will host STEM Fest, a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in Wilcox Hall at the Utica Campus. The event, designed to inspire and encourage the scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians of the future, is open to all ages, and admission is free.
For this event, the lobbies of Wilcox Hall will be transformed into a showcase of science, technology, engineering, and math, giving both children and adults a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore virtual reality, human circuits, robot programming, mini drones, DNA modeling, non-Newtonian fluids, and more.
There also will be a special performance of “That Physics Show!” with physics educator and off-Broadway performer David Maiullo, who will bring his scientific “magic” from the world of physics to the stage at 11:30 a.m. in Schafer Theater. Admission to this part of the event is $5. For tickets, visit www.mvcc.edu/tickets<http://www.mvcc.edu/tickets>.
