Learning to save, spend wisely and even donate to great causes when you’re young can lead to excellent financial habits as adults. The Utica Children’s Museum is once again teaming up with First Source Federal Credit Union to offer “Financial Friday” where kids can learn about money and put their knowledge into action!

Date: Friday, November 29, 2019
Time: Two times available: 11:00-11:45am or 1:00-1:45pm
Place: Utica Children’s Museum, 311 Main Street, Utica, NY

Museum visitors can enjoy a fun, interactive financial literacy program that teaches kids where money comes from and the value of it. During the session they will earn money and be given a “paycheck” to go down to the First Source Kid’s Branch on the first floor of the Museum to cash and then spend smartly on small items right at the Museum! The session is great for ages 6 and up.

Steve Bulger, CEO/Executive Director of ICAN, which oversees the operation of the Museum, states, “When programming events like this at the Museum, we look to great partners who can offer an array of expertise to share with our visitors. First Source is a longtime supporter of the Museum and has had their ‘Main Street Branch’ here for many years. This is the third Financial Friday event we’ve held with them and it’s always a favorite.”

The session is included in the regular price of admission: $6 children ages 2-17, $8 adults and $7 for seniors/Veterans/students. The museum is also offering is FREE admission for First Source employees  and 50% off admission for First Source members.

RSVPs are necessary. Participants can sign up for either session on eventbrite through links on the Museum’s website (uticacm.org) or on the event on their Facebook page.

For questions, visitors can call the Museum at (315) 724-6129.
