Clinton, NY (November 2, 2019): Listen to the rhythm of the steps and catch a flashing smile as your partner whirls around! There’s nothing quite like a good country dance with the fiddles playing and the piano keys dropping.
The Kirkland Art Center is hosting its first Autumn Country Dance on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm. Caller Quena Crain of Brattleboro, Vermont calls dances all over the country. She takes joy from dancing and it comes through in her fun calling and easy teaching style, so beginners and life-time dancers will have a night to remember.
Joining Quena are talented musicians Tim Ball on the fiddle and guitar and John Wobus on the keyboard. Regulars on the dance circuit, the two have performed for the Cornell Contra Dance Club, Syracuse Country Dancers, Otsego Dance Society, at the Newark Valley Apple Festival and many more.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and dancing starts at 7:00 pm.
