This morning was very special for Utica area school children as nearly $1,000 in school supplies were delivered to the Utica Municipal Housing Authority through a collection drive organized by The Rotary Club of Utica with help from Max’s Print Shop in Marcy. The delivery included 250 bookbags filled with school supplies plus additional items (notebooks, pens, binders, etc) for another 150 students, for a total of 400 free school-supply packs for these students, just in time for the upcoming school year. The funds for the school supplies were provided from The Rotary Club of Utica members along with a matching amount from Dan Smith from Max’s Print Shop in Marcy.
