UTICA, NY – The Parkway Center is saddened to hear about the closing of the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Utica. We would however, like the residents of Utica to know that there is another thrift store located in downtown Utica for residents to turn to. The New 2 U Thrift Store is located at 726 Washington Street, by the Central New York Veteran’s Outreach Center. This thrift store is a partnership between the Vet’s Center and the Parkway Center, and all of the proceeds are split between the two organizations to support their programs and services.
The thrift store is open Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm and has a variety of items for sale including: men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing; dishes; shoes; toys; electronics; home goods; and much, much more. If you have any questions about the thrift store, or would like to make a donation to the store, please call Kari Johnson at the Parkway Center at (315) 223-3973 ext. 117.
