The Parkway Center is proud to announce its 2019 Volunteer Recognition Luncheon scheduled for April 12, 2019. This event is held in conjunction with National Volunteer Week, which is a time specifically set aside for organizations to honor all those that serve as volunteers. As a small non-profit and the sponsoring agency of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP); we know that we would not be able to do all that we do without the commitment and dedication of these individuals.
This event honors all of our volunteers, with special recognition given for Community Champion, RSVP Hometown Hero and Parkway Center Outstanding Service. This year special recognition is given to the following volunteers/volunteer group: Ray Durso on behalf of the Genesis Group as our Community Champion Award; the Genesis Group is a civic organization of all volunteers, that unites business and community leaders working to advance regional economic, social, and cultural interests, and to foster unity and cooperation in the Mohawk Valley Region of Upstate New York; Polly Angerosa and Terry Hobsin the RSVP Hometown Heroes Awards; both of these women are leaders for the StayYoung StrongBones program, among their other volunteer work; and, Dona Ross the Parkway Center Outstanding Service Awardee for her years of volunteerism both at the Parkway Center and throughout the community.
This event will be held at Hart’s Hill Inn on Friday, April 12. Please call the Parkway Center at (315) 223-3973 for reservations and more information. Deadline for reservations is April 5th.
