Utica, NY – ‘Tis the season for giving! M&T Bank visited The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter to present a
check in the amount of $2,500 in support of their Annual Appeal campaign.
This year’s campaign features the story of Paul Bohrer, a person supported by The Arc through many
different programs. Bohrer was involved in a horrific bicycle accident when he was struck by a vehicle
in 2011. After completing 11 surgeries and a grueling rehabilitation process, Bohrer is now riding a new
bicycle he received through The Arc’s “I have a dream” program this year.
“We are extremely grateful to have this generous support from M&T Bank,” said Arc Oneida-Lewis
Chief Executive Officer Karen Korotzer. “Money raised through our Annual Appeal is used extensively
throughout the year to fund initiatives and programs in our agency.”
Presenting the check from M&T Bank were Alissa Viti, charitable and community relations manager,
and Peter Baildon, vice president of commercial banking.
“The Arc has provided much needed services to people with disabilities for almost 65 years,” said Baildon who also serves as Treasurer of The Friends of The Arc Foundation. “We know this contribution will help them do even more for our community.”
The Arc Oneida-Lewis Annual Appeal runs through March of 2019. Donations can be made on their
website, thearcolc.org .
