Mohawk Valley Community College, through a grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, is partnering with Clear Path for Veterans to offer a free environmental remediation training for veterans beginning Monday, June 18. These classes are designed to provide critical certifications and training to improve employability. Interested individuals must provide proof of veteran status.

Classes include:

*   OSHA (10 hours) – For workers on new construction sites, demolition jobs, and major renovation projects. Includes basic safety and health hazards associated with construction work, and overview of OSHA and hazard-specific awareness.

*   8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
*   Monday, June 18, and Friday, June 22

*   Lead Worker (16 hours) – For on-site personnel engaged in lead abatement activities in residential properties, including health department-ordered projects, United States Housing and Urban Development grant programs, Public & Indian Housing abatement programs, and military abatement projects.

*   8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
*   Wednesday, June 20, and Thursday, June 21

*   Asbestos Worker (32 hours) – For any person employed on an asbestos abatement project whose duties involve the removal, encapsulation, application, or enclosure of any asbestos containing material (ACM).

*   8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
*   Tuesday, June 26-Friday, June 29

All classes will be held at Clear Path for Veterans’ Chittenango location at 1223 Salt Springs Road, and all materials will be provided.
