Organizers of the city’s third Levitt AMP Utica Music Series will announce an impressive lineup of national and regional artists to perform live each Monday from June 25 through August 27, 6-9pm – providing a full summer of FREE family-friendly music and outdoor entertainment in Downtown Utica’s Oneida Square Arts District.
Sponsored by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation – a private family foundation that empowers communities to transform neglected public spaces into thriving destinations through the power of free, live music – Levitt AMP Utica will feature 10 free concerts including a multitude of genres. Local headliner bands will be featured, intermission acts and activities are being planned and area restaurants will be open for business.
Utica Monday Nite, with assistance from Rust 2 Green Utica, submitted a 2018 Levitt AMP proposal, and in January Utica was named one of 15 small to mid-sized towns and cities across America to win a (third) Levitt AMP Grant Award of $25K. The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc., a partner for all three seasons, is providing matching funding to help inspire and engage the community around the power of creative placemaking.
