UTICA, NY, March 30, 2018 —YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) officials recently announced the names of nine local women to be recognized in May as the 30th Annual Salute to Outstanding Women Awards honorees for 2018.

“Our 30th Annual Salute to Outstanding Women Awards celebration is promising to be an unforgettable event,” said Dianne Stancato, YWCA MV Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to recognizing these nine Outstanding Women and the amazing accomplishments they have achieved.”

The nine Outstanding Women selected for this auspicious award are: Beatrice Allison, of Holland Patent, for Healthcare, Delores Caruso, of Utica, for Unsung Heroine, Dah Eh, of Utica, for Outstanding Youth, Anny Guerrero, of Utica, for Education,
Jordan Morgan, of Utica, for Professions – Business & Industry, Pri Paw, of Utica, for Social Justice, Sarita Ruiz, of Rome, for Entrepreneur, Sandra Soroka, of Utica, for Human & Public Service, Christina Warner, of New Hartford, for STEAM (Science Technology Education Arts Math), YWCA MV received a record-breaking 77 nominations for consideration this year, nearly doubling the average nominations received in recent years.
In addition to presenting the honorees at Thursday’s Reveal Event, hosted by Valentino’s Banquet Hall in New Hartford, YWCA MV officials also announced two new categories featured in this year’s award ceremony – Entrepreneur and Outstanding Youth – marking the first year a young woman under 18 has been recognized by this event.
