March 12, 2018- Utica, NY – In support of the New York State 2018 Women’s Opportunity Agenda, the YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) Public Policy Committee is hosting its second annual Community Reach Out, with postcard signing and phone banking events on March 15 and 20.
“In keeping with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s statement that, ‘When women succeed, New York succeeds,’ we are wholeheartedly endorsing the Women’s Agenda, which focuses on protecting women’s rights, and the health and safety of women and girls throughout our state,” said Kari Procopio, YWCA MV Chief Advancement Officer.
Both Community Reach Out events will provide an opportunity for constituents to communicate with state legislators on the necessity of supporting the Women’s Agenda in the 2018 Budget.
This year’s Community Reach Out events will be held at YWCA MV’s main offices, 7 Rutger Park, Utica, on March 15, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and March 20, from noon to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served at both events.
