One of our own is sick and needs our help. If you live in Utica you most likely have been entertained by Jimmy Albison-(AKA-Jimmy Brown)-be it at one of the many eateries he worked at or a social event or maybe you attended school at Brandegee or Proctor High School. He may have been your favorite waiter at Chesterfield or one of the many restaurants he worked at throughout the years. You might even remember the year he so elegantly decorated the downtown area for Christmas when he worked for the “City of Utica”.Wherever it may have been if you crossed paths with Jimmy I am certain it was memorable. His wit and infectious smile has won the hearts of all who have had the pleasure to have met him.Jimmy has recently been diagnosed with liver/bladder cancer and has a difficult journey ahead of him. He has been disabled for some time now, and this added diagnosis has put an insurmountable burden on him both emotionally and financially. He must travel to get the necessary treatment proposed. Living on a limited income will not allow for the added necessities this predicament will incur.
He will not be able to get the medical care he needs due to the additional costs of medical copay’s, hospitalizations, travel and lodging, while he receives his treatment without help from those who love him.We realize that times are difficult for everyone financially, but buying a ticket and coming to celebrate Jim’s life with him on May 21st will help alleviate his financial burden. So if you are one of the people who want to see Jimmy fight to win please come and celebrate him with us.Some gifts are big and some are small but the “ones” that come from the heart are the best gifts of all.
Hope to see you there.
