BRINDISI MAKES LAST-MINUTE PUSH WITH TENNEY; URGES ‘NO’ TO TRUMPCARE VOTE THAT WILL HIT OUR AREA HARD; CITES MILLIONS LOCAL HOSPITALS WILL LOSE SHOULD BILL PASS; ASSEMBLYMAN SAYS EDUCATING THE CONGRESSWOMAN COULD BE THE BEST MEDICINE TO STOP MILLIONS IN LOCAL CUTS

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi of Utica today issued the following statement, regarding the upcoming vote in Congress on the American Health Care Act, and his request that Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of New Hartford votes against it:

“Trumpcare is bad medicine for our area. I can’t sit back when our local hospitals stand to lose millions. These are real dollars that go towards the local care we receive, the doctors we retain and the facilities we depend on. So, I am making a last-minute push to help educate Congresswoman Tenney before it is too late. She’s still on the fence, being lobbied by the establishment, so I urge her to do the right thing for our area, not the right thing for Washington,”
